Field Trips 

As part of the Energy from the Edge Symposium and Conference, Thursday 13th September will be dedicated to Field Trips.

One of these trips will focus on Energy (renewable energy in particular) and will include a visit to the most northerly island of Unst and the PURE Energy Centre. Amongst other things, the tour will also include a visit to Burradale Windfarm and a stop off at Sullom Voe Oil Terminal.

The second trip will focus on Heritage and Tourism within Lerwick and the South end of Shetland. The trip will include a visit to Shetland Amenity Trust’s dig at Scatness, a tour of the new Shetland Museum and Archives, St Ninians Isle and the settlement at Jarlshof.
